<itunes:summary>Yes, Yes - Another list of things which make people successful.

Dr. Heidi Grant Halvorson arrived at this list, after conducting years of research on the subject. Heidi received her PhD in social psychology from Columbia University, has authored a few books (The Psychology of Goals, Succeed: How We Can All Reach Our Goals) and is a regular contributor to Fast Company, The Huffington Post, Psychology Today and the Harvard Business Review.

So what exactly makes people successful? Many think that some people are simply born with certain talents, which make them successful. However, time and again, studies conclude that successful people achieve their goals more often because of what they do, not who they are.
And here are the 9 habits of successful people:

Setting specific goals
Seizing the moment and somehow making the time to act on goals
Knowing exactly how far they have left to go
Maintaining realistic optimism
Focussing on getting better, rather than being good
Having grit
Building their willpower muscle
Not tempting fate and not making things harder than they have to be
Focussing on what they will do and not what they won't do

Heidi explains these points in more detail in this podcast.</itunes:summary>
