transition job search strategy Book review: Guerrilla Marketing for Job Hunters

If you are looking for a book that provides tips and strategies for your job search, this is a good resource. It is part of the popular Guerrilla Marketing series and in the usual style, offers practical and creative information. The book is written by headhunter David Perry.

While the information provided in the book is not groundbreaking, what I liked is that it is a quick and easy read, which is good since the last thing you want as a job seeker is to spend a lot of time buried in a book. The author focuses on the most important aspects of the job search, which will provide maximum results. Also, the advice is practical and can be implemented immediately/quickly (not without a good deal of effort from your side though, which is expected when you move away from traditional/unsuccessful job search strategies)

The parts I like best are the interviewing and networking tips. Creative ways to present your resume are provided but I think some might be over the top, especially for people in Asia. Might be worth a shot though, if you feel it fits your situation and the type of jobs you are looking for.
