    Dear Consultant,

The tips given are valid and good. The question in Singapore is many HR department are not showing the kind of professionalism, including even recruitment consultancy.

    For examples:

    (1) I ever called a Company and what the HR told me was a cold and very unprofessional response " you don't have to call, just send in your resume"

(2)I sent in my resume to a recruitment agency. The consultant sounded so stressed and inadequate in answering my inquiry about whether he can confirmed receiving my CV.

3)After interview and waiting upon 1-2 weeks, I make a polite contact via email application, no response at all. At least a reply saying I am not shortlisted for employment could be done.

I know workload is heavy and time is tight but isn't professionalism should comes from the hiring side too ?

In Canada, I will always received a reply informing me of the outcome.

    Kind Regards,

    Derrick Tan,

A Singaporean seeking for a job in Singapore or overseas.
