Take a look at how Hillary Clinton answers a few job interview questions, such as:
- How did you hear about the position?
- Tell us about yourself?
- Why do you want this job?
- What are your strengths?
- Can you type?
- Are you willing to relocate?
- Describe yourself in two words?
We all love to hate business buzzwords.
But we’re all guilty of using a few of them on occasion.
After all, what’s the harm in leveraging buzzwords to add value to a conversation? 🙂
The folks at GetVoip, did a bit of research using an interesting Google tool, to see what the most overused business buzzwords are, and how much their usage has increased over the years.

Talk about tough job interview situations.
Ah conference calls.
Don’t you just love them.
If any of this sounds familiar, then watch this video for a good laugh:
- Beep beep.
- “Hi this is Peter, sorry for joining late”
- “Who just joined”
- Beep beep.
- “Did someone get dropped off”
- “Is the Singapore team still on the line”
Or perhaps you might be curious to see what a conference call will look like ‘in real life.’
Although the interviewer was very happy to see Hugh and probably wanted to offer him the job on the spot, she did manage to keep her wits and ask some interview questions.
She did not offer Hugh the job.
That’s despite Hugh Jackman displaying his skills in acting, singing and doing push-ups.
To his credit he did talk about his ‘relevant’ teaching experience as well.
The workplace can be tough.
It can be stressful.
Colleagues can get on your nerves and play all sorts of games.
And bosses. Well, less said, the better.
We all have different ways of dealing with things that happen at the office. Exercise, meditation, self improvement, indulging in a few drinks, staying above it all, etc.
And then there are others who prefer, throwing things, breaking things, beating up people, hosing down colleagues, cursing, swearing, lighting things on fire, etc
There are ways to build rapport with an interviewer.
One technique is to match and mirror the other person’s body language. We’ve written about how to do this here.
For tips on how NOT to use mirroring, watch this video.

- Accusing the employer of spreading propaganda.
- Writing a scathing article in the New York Times.
- Getting drunk and throwing things.
- Dancing all over the office.
- Heading a cannabis club.

Cinema has shown us a fair share of job interviews.
Many scenes have been proper and close to real life.
But let’s forget about those.
Instead, here’s a compilation of movie scenes, with job interview train wrecks.
It includes some classic moments from movies/actors such as Trainspotting, The Internship, American Beauty, Robbin Williams, Kevin Spacey and Tom Hanks.

The office from which you never want to leave.
Unfortunately, such a job/office only exists in our dreams.
But there are some jobs that actually exist, which come close to the dream job territory.
This video has a few of them (although we don’t think some of them are that appealing), including:
- Caretaker of the islands.
- Professional snugller.
- Blower upper.
- Voice over actors.
- Water slide tester.
- Netflix tagger.
- Guidebook writer.
- Professional sleeper.
